What is Istituto Marangoni? Can you tell us about any special programs the school is offering right now in response to COVID-19? Istituto Marangoni is an international leader in education with numerous campuses across the globe, offering an extensive curriculum in fashion, design and art, constantly growing with industry demands and evolution. During a time where millions of students and parents are feeling burdened by decisions and debt, Istituto Marangoni wants to address these challenges by giving back to the Miami community and industry through a new, limited-time Loan Forgiveness Program. Available only through 2020, applicants who enroll for the fall semester will receive up to 40% of tuition forgiveness upon graduation. Exclusively offered at Istituto Marangoni’s only U.S. campus in Miami’s Design District, students who apply will also partake in contributing to South Florida’s rapid growth in the fashion, design and art industries. Where do you see the future of the fashion industry in Miami, and where does Istituto Marangoni fall into that vision? Prior to the advent of COVID-19, Miami’s fashion industry was evolving at a rapid pace and served as a major economic driver through the arrival of new fashion institutes and major fashion events, such as Swim Week, drawing in large crowds each summer. Although the pandemic’s effects have financially burdened the city by disrupting hundreds of programs, events, and employment opportunities, programs like Istituto Marangoni will bridge this gap and empower a healthier rebound for the future of South Florida’s creative community. We look to attract talented and determined students who will graduate from our institution and be able to aptly enter the workforce in order to help the economy rebound following its current decline. As we look towards the future, Istituto Marangoni’s long-term vision will continue to support and develop individuals who are interested in fashion and design from all over the world — our same mission statement since we opened our first U.S. campus in Miami in 2017.
