Over the past couple of years Katie Holmes has become an unlikely fashion icon, expertly combining high-end couture with affordable fast fashion at every turn of the New York City streets where she’s frequently spotted. We’ve waxed poetic about her practical yet effortless style in the past, and coveted some of her more luxurious pieces that seemed forever out of our price range — until now.

Just over a year after her cozy $2,960 cashmere cardigan and matching bra went viral, one retailer is hopping on board the trend and offering a similar sweater set at a fraction of the cost. While the 41-year-old’s original look was designed by New York-based brand Khaite, the affordable alternative comes courtesy of another Holmes-approved brand: Mango.
Released just in time for fall, their newly-released Button knit cardigan and Knit strap top offers the same relaxed yet polished vibe as the Khaite set at a wallet-friendly price. Retailing for $50 and $70 respectively, consider this tank and cardigan combo our new fall uniform.
Featuring a slightly oversized silhouette and a longer length, the cardigan comes in three neutral shades that pair perfectly with the matching tank or can be mixed in with the rest of your wardrobe. The tank is a longer length than Holmes’s look too, which provides a little more coverage that’s ideal for chill fall weather.

Made from a wool, polyester, and acrylic blend, this sweater set is certainly not quite as luxurious as its cashmere counterpart, but not a bad dupe if you’re after a similar look that doesn’t break the bank. As with most of Mango’s fashion forward pieces, sizes tend to sell out quickly, so you’ll want to grab this sweater set while you can. And if you’re feeling fancy, well, there’s always the Khaite set.
