Waterhouse’s debut studio album, entitled I Can’t Let Go, was released to the public last Friday.

Waterhouse spoke about working on I Can’t Let Go during an interview with Elite Daily, where she noted that she was not rushed during the project’s production process.
‘I would capture little parts of the song and then actually get to revisit it constantly,’ she recalled.

The performer then expressed that working on her record was completely new territory for her as a creative individual.
‘I’ve never been able to take my time in anything else before; [it probably took] like 10 years to really feel like I had an offering that came from a very true place in myself,’ she said.
Waterhouse also spoke about the intention behind the album and noted that its content would reflect her personality.

‘I want [listeners] to go home with some little glimmer into who I am,’ she said.
The model concluded by expressing that she finally felt as if she was in control of her own career.
She stated: ‘It’s a control that I’m really not used to. It’s taken me a second to be like, “No, this is your video shoot now. You get to make decisions.”‘
